Broxbourne Council has announced that a new Barclays Local service has opened at the Spotlight, High Street, Hoddesdon with effect from 8 January 2024.
The new Barclays Local service will be open Monday-Friday, 10am-12.30pm and 1-4.30pm. Barclays staff will be on-hand to provide face-to-face support for Barclays customers with a wide range of services include digital banking, financial reviews, balance checks, transfers and bill payments.
Barclays Local is a cashless site so cash banking transactions will continue to be completed at a local Post Office.
Councillor Lewis Cocking, Leader of Broxbourne Council said:
The Council is keen to ensure that banking services remain accessible to residents of the Borough and I am delighted that Barclays has chosen to work with us at the Spotlight to ensure that this is the case for its customers. A local presence is really important for all High Street Banks; not all members of the community are able to access the digital services offered. I urge all banks to consider setting up a similar service in places they do not have a physical presence. Although Barclays Local is currently cashless, I will continue to campaign for cash services that are accessible to all.”
