The third annual Generation Broxbourne event took place on 6 March 2024 at the Spotlight, Hoddesdon.
Hundreds of students from local secondary schools and over 30 employers, both local and national, attended the showcase of opportunities for young people.
Year 10 and 11 students from schools and colleges in the Borough of Broxbourne were able to speak with key industry and sector leaders to find out information on the career opportunities available to them in the future.
The event was funded by Broxbourne Council and the Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP), which is managed by the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
HOP is the premier gateway in Hertfordshire to explore careers advice and opportunities around apprenticeships, skills training and engagement with schools.

Councillor Lewis Cocking said:
Broxbourne is an exciting place to be at the moment and there are a wealth of opportunities on the horizon for young people.
With new developments such as Sunset Studios and Brookfield Riverside, I am keen to ensure that the young people of Broxbourne learn what is available to them so they can make the right choices now.
